Our 503c stated mission is “to preserve, protect, maintain, interpret, improve, expand the educational, scientific and historic facilities and resources of the ancient Mill Site on Great Brook at Mill Road, Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts to serve as a charitable resource for educational and scientific information for the general public; to receive, maintain, administer funds for benevolent, charitable educational, scientific services to the general public.”

Presently the Millstream Foundation consists of the property at 99 Mill Rd in Chelmsford MA. The main attractions are the:

  • “Mill” which has a vintage water wheel connected to a generator that can be connected to the electric grid.   There is also a vintage woodshop in the Mill for making portable record players.
  • The Dam and waterfalls
  • Russell Mill Pond
  • “Barn” a 2200 ft-sq storage building that could be used for a number of purposes.
  • “Carriage house” A garage of the first floor and vintage portable record player assembly shop on the second floor.
  • “Main House” is currently split as a 1200 ft-sq 2 bedroom apartment for an on site caretaker and office space for the Millstream.
  • Many places to sit, relax and enjoy nature
